Managing Director / Chartered Accountant
Roger commenced his articles in 1976 with a small local firm of Chartered Accountants in the centre of Liverpool. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and has spent most of his working career in practice, most recently as a partner in a medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants in Liverpool. In 2011 Roger established his own practice in Ormskirk based in the Malthouse Business Centre which has grown to 6 members of staff whose biographies can be found here.
The practice acts for a wide range of SMEs throughout the North West offering the traditional range of accounting, tax, and payroll services. Increasingly the practice provides a range of added value services to larger corporate enterprises in partnership with a network of complementary professionals.
Roger is involved in many Ormskirk based community organisations. He has served for 17 years as the Honorary Secretary of the Liverpool Agricultural Discussion Society and was a founder member of the Ormskirk Clock Tower Rotary club. Roger is a trustee of the Lathom Park Trust Limited and is the current chairman of the Southport group of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants. Roger is a also the treasurer of Ormskirk and West Lancashire Business Focus ( OWL ) and Ormskirk Golf Club.
Outside work Roger enjoys circuit training, swimming, ski-ing and watching Liverpool FC.
Senior Accounts Manager
Neill has prepared accounts for small businesses across West Lancashire and Merseyside for over 25 years. He loves the fact that while the tasks may be similar what makes the job enjoyable is that no two clients are the same.
Having left school at 17, his first work experience lasted for 21 years! He is qualified through the Association of Accountancy Technicians. His biggest challenge - to encourage clients to go paper free and end the huge boxes of receipts and invoices that land on his desk.
Outside work Neill enjoys reading, music, football and the never-ending battle of trying to keep fit!
Payroll and book-keeping manager
Steve has worked in accountancy for over 30 years, gaining experience in accounts and book-keeping, more recently completing courses in payroll and helping clients with auto enrolment. The big challenge is keeping up with changes in legislation, from minimum wage to compliance with The Pensions Regulator. While not working, Steve enjoys property renovation, movies, photography and trying to stay healthy.
June has worked in accountancy for many years, providing secretarial, admin and reception support. She enjoys the variety of work, meeting and chatting to the clients who range from small one-man bands to company directors of large businesses.
